The Great Reads from Great Places is a Center for the Book program where each of the 50 states and territories select a children and adult title to represent their state at the National Book Festival.
This year we were awarded a grant to expand our Center for the Book's reach. We have been doing this by coordinating a book tour for each of our choices from 2023.
Denise Lajimodiere's Josie Dances was our children's pick and Taylor Brorby's Boys and Oil was our adult pick. Unfortunately, Brorby was unable to make the tour but we have our 2022 adult pick The Farmer's Lawyer by Sarah Vogel taking his place.
